Suryakumar Yadav extended his support to Sarfaraz Khan as he came out with an exclusive Instagram story after Sarfaraz score double hundred in the Irani Cup. He wrote, "100 Musheer ka 100 Sarfaraz ka" which translate to the fact that Sarfaraz's double century had been dedicated to his brother Musheer Khan with whom he shares a pretty deep bond. Musheer could not play against ROI in the Irani Cup as he fractured his neck in a car accident. Sarfaraz, who did not get a chance to play in the two Tests against Bangladesh made the most of his opportunity against Rest of India in the Irani Cup. He became the first Mumbai player to score a double ton in this tournament, finishing Day 2 unbeaten at 221, helping Mumbai reach 536/9. At 26 years and 346 days, he is now the fourth youngest player to score a double century in the Irani Cup. Sarfaraz joined the very exclusive group of Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Shikhar Dhawan, and Yashasvi Jaiswal in sharing two Irani Cup centuries. Sarfaraz is fast becoming a rising star of Indian first-class cricket with 15 centuries against 14 half-centuries.
